Youth Innovation Program

Special Olympics leadership work drives personal and cultural change.
First, we build leadership skills in athletes, so they have the opportunity to become leaders within the movement, their communities, and ultimately, teachers of inclusion.
Then, through the Unified Leadership approach, athletes educate people without disabilities to improve their behaviors and practices creating more inclusive environments for all.

Youth innovation in Special Olympics refers to the active involvement of young people in creating and leading projects that promote inclusion and positive change within their communities. It's about empowering the next generation to be leaders and advocates for people with intellectual disabilities.

Youth innovation in Special Olympics is about:

1. Empowering young people: Giving them the tools and resources to be leaders and advocates.
2. Promoting inclusion: Creating a world where everyone is accepted and valued.
3. Driving positive change: Making a difference in the lives of people with intellectual disabilities.
4. Building a movement: Engaging the next generation in the Special Olympics mission.
5. By supporting youth innovation, Special Olympics is investing in the future of the movement and ensuring that the voices of young people are heard.
